Lil Wayne is the latest celebrity to join the recreational marijuana business. The rapper has just announced GKUA, his own brand of premium recreational cannabis. “I used to just want to get high, now I smoke to get inspired,” he told Forbes. “With GKUA, I’m sharing a feeling that I love.”

Promising to give you "the best high of your life," Lil Wayne's GKUA brand offers flowers, THC vape pens, concentrates, and pre-rolled joints — all tasted and approved by Lil Tunechi himself.

Some of the brand's strains include "Hollygrove," an indica-dominant hybrid paying homage to the rapper's neighborhood in New Orleans. GKUA will become available at a number of select Los Angeles dispensaries, with plans to expand to the entire state of California in 2020.

The rapper also plans to link up with other celebrities, from musicians to influencers, to deliver weed-infused collaborations. Speaking to Forbes, GKUA co-founder Beau Golob explained why he decided to tap Wayne for this joint venture.

"The combination of our incredible products, market knowledge and commitment to quality, paired with the unmatched fanbase of Lil Wayne, the ultimate cannabis connoisseur, creates an unprecedented opportunity to create a cannabis brand that values creativity and the artistic pursuit,” said Golob.

With the legalization of marijuana on the rise, Lil Wayne is obviously in good company in the realm of celebrity-owned weed. JAY-Z has recently joined Caliva, while Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, The Game, and Ghostface Killah have long been cashing in on the cannabis craze.
