Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V' Debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Charts

Lil Wayne's new album, the long-awaited Tha Carter V, is the number one album in the US. The record made its debut at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts.

This marks Lil Wayne's fourth no. 1 album on the Billboard charts. Released Friday, September 28, the full-length earned 480,000 equivalent album units in the week ending October 4, according to Nielsen Music - the third largest debut week for an album in 2018 (after Drake's Scorpion and Travis Scott's Astroworld). With 433 million on-demand audio streams logged for its songs, The Carter V also made its debut with the second biggest streaming week ever for an album (behind Drake's Scorpion).
