Louis Vuitton is prepping the release of a new version of the LV Trainer. For Spring/Summer 2021, the upcycling collection, as it's referred to, consists of models that have been made out of pre-existing LV Trainers.

Virgil Abloh's 2019 LV Trainers were disassembled and transformed to create new versions of the silhouette, leaving no two pairs exactly the same. The upcycled Trainers are offered in supple calfskin and suede, with eye-catching tie-dye laces. Five new low-top colorways are featured in the SS21 upcycling collection, each boasting an “LV Upcycling” edging on the heel, the Louis Vuitton signature on the side, and monogram flowers on the sole. The sneakers then come with a fluorescent tag on the right foot.

Louis Vuitton is also giving you the opportunity to customize the LV Trainer using accompanying assembly instructions for centring or cutting and excess stitching threads.

It remains to be seen when the upcycled LV Trainers will become available, so be sure to check back with us for release information.
