Reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has been chosen to grace the cover of Madden NFL 21. Today, EA Sports has officially unveiled the cover, while simultaneously premiering the trailer for the upcoming video game.

“I grew up playing Madden and owned every copy I could get my hands on, so to be on the cover of Madden NFL 21 is a dream come true, especially when the cover represents so much of my story,” said Jackson. “The welcome to the Madden family from around the league and from fans has been phenomenal and I think people will have a lot of fun with the new features coming in this year’s game.”

The gameplay trailer teases Madden NFL 21's all-new ball-carrier and D-Line mechanics, realistic open-field tackling, new celebrations, and more, while new on field camera shots improve the game's overall authenticity and presentation.

Madden NFL 21 also features a new career campaign called Face of the Franchise: Rise to Fame, more than 50 new Superstar X-Factor abilities, Live Playbooks 2.0, and a new season of Ultimate Team content.

The game is due out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on August 28. Watch the official trailer below.
