Editor’s Notes: LA-based designer Melody Ehsani has teamed up with Jordan Brand to rework the Jordan OG — the brand’s first-ever women’s-focused sneaker that debuted in 1998.

Ehsani explains, "I felt like I was being entrusted with bringing back this hidden gem that had kind of been forgotten about." Rather than reintroducing the silhouette in her M.E aesthetic, she opted for a more "classic approach." She used the original infrared with black, as a subtle nod to Jordan himself.

Meanwhile, the cherry detailing was chosen as "a symbol of abundance and closely associated with the goddess of fertility."
