New Balance's Fall/Winter 2026 Made in USA collection promises some pretty fire 992s, including a sexy leather "Black/Afterglow" version of the dad shoes.

I'll admit, it's a little weird to describe a dad shoe as sexy, but these 992s fit the bill. They're quite hot, with their stylish dark color scheme and a mix of slick and velvety materials.

Obviously, the black leather overlays really steal the show, bringing not only a luxe touch to the dadcore model but also some subtle vintage flair. Meanwhile, the rest of the 992 offers classic mesh and suede layers in cream-white and navy blue.

It's paired with classic 992 details, like the famously chunky soles cushioned with the brand's ABZORB technology.

New Balance's FW26 lineup also includes a "Medusa Green" 992 and nice "Sport Green" shoe. And don't get me wrong, those are great. But the black leather 992s are straight-up gorgeous. It's definitely the best of the three 992 dad shoes.

Speaking of which, the "Black/Afterglow" 992 sneakers are expected to drop in November on New Balance's website.
