With its new Gator Run sneaker, New Balance is quite literally going beast mode.

The all-new Gator Run falls in the same category as the brand's 471 sneakers and Miu Miu-coded 204L, landing as another low-soled, slender running shoe. But honestly, it could work for various occasions given its general sporty build and surprisingly luxe looks.

The debut pairs feature glossy patent-leather croc skin uppers, a design also seen on New Balance's hybrid loafers. The reptilian look ultimately creates a rather fancy vibe for the running shoe.

It also packs serious tread on the bottom, making the shoe ready to grip just about anything, from the coffee shop floors to the trails.

The Gator Run also borrows the upper of the classic T500 tennis shoe. Consider it the model's cooler fashion cousin, even.

New Balance's Gator Run sneaker is expected to release in black and red croc skin options sometime in 2026 on the brand's website.

With the Gator Run set to creep in soon, the low-soled sneaker craze shows no signs of slowing down this year.
