The LV² by NIGO®️ x Virgil Abloh™️ collaboration is now in its sophomore stage and has thus far delivered monogrammed denim, suede mules, and as expected, some incredibly hefty luggage trunks.

Now, the collaboration will be further immortalized with a limited-edition zine that documents the historic collaboration as it was happening in Paris with portraiture of Virgil Abloh and Nigo from photographer Nick Haymes. The 32-page zine was printed in Japan on a Fuji Xerox Iridesse Production press with gold, silver, and CMYK, giving the paper a metallic, filmic sheen.

As we've duly noted, we live in the era of ubiquitous collaboration, so the concept of this designer x that designer is nothing exceptional. However, the LV² by NIGO®️ x Virgil Abloh collab is remarkable not just for the fact it springs from a longstanding camaraderie between Nigo and Abloh, but because it references Nigo's history – notably his early fascination with early London subcultures that informed his designs during his formative years. Subsequently, LV² collection observes a London Mod-era dandy through a Tokyo style lens, giving fans a "what if" hypothetical situation that looks at Louis Vuitton on an alternative timeline with Nigo as Artistic Director.

Limited to just 250 copies, the collector's item is currently sold out, but will likely show up on reseller sites soon.
