Nike will be following up the Hyperadapt 1.0 with a self-lacing basketball sneaker, expected to be unveiled tomorrow, January 15. In building anticipation surrounding the reveal, the Swoosh today teases the much-anticipated Adapt basketball shoe.

While we've yet to receive imagery of the silhouette, Nike provides us with players' first reactions of the sneaker upon trying them on. We see the likes of Jayson Tatum, Kyle Kuzma, Luka Dončić and De'Aaron Fox, among other Swoosh athletes, in awe of the futuristic, auto-lacing footwear.

Nike debuted its auto-lacing technology in 1989 with the Air Mags made for Back to the Future 2, then bringing the feature to the market in 2016 with the aforementioned Hyperadapt 1.0. While the Hyperadapt 1.0 retailed for a steep $720, the Adapt basketball sneaker is expected to cost $350.

Up next, take a look at Nike's Air Max 1 Golf “Grass” that will have you looking fly on the fairway.
