Since dropping the new silhouette in February, Nike has revealed a slew of Air Max 270 colorways said to be hitting the streets very soon. Last week, Nike gave Parisians exclusive access to some of the earliest drops at a series of pop-up locations in Paris’ suburbs.

One pop-up store opened in Corbeil-Essonnes—a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris—and was hosted by an affiliate of the French rap group PNL and actor, Lucas. The pop-up lasted just one afternoon and all pairs of the Air Max 270 quickly sold out. The Paris pop-ups looked to once again uplift and honor the brand’s core consumers, giving back to those who inspire major brands and trends often without credit.

As for the sneaker, the Air Max 270 pay homage to Nike’s early 1990s silhouettes, in particular, the Air Max 180 and the Air Max 93. The slip-on construction features a mesh upper for stretch and breathability, a molded dual-density foam midsole, and a newly-engineered Air unit for greater impact absorption. The Air Max 270 derives its name from the 270 degrees of visible air within its Air unit.
