It may be a while until we get the next Batman movie, but Nike's already got the perfect Air Max 95 sneakers for the caped crusader's biggest fans.

Continuing the Air Max 95's anniversary rollout, Nike has prepared the classic shoe in a plainly Batman-inspired "Black/Buff Gold" colorway.

The sneaker's traditional layered upper appears here in muted grey and black shades, while gold strikes the usual branding and the oversized Air bubbles in the sole, also known as the Big Bubbles to the Air Max faithful.

This colorway itself is more aligned with the comic versions of Batman and even Michael Keaton's portrayal of the famous superhero than more Robert Pattinson-flavored outings. But can you blame Nike for honoring the classics?

That being said, an all-black Nike sneaker with just a touch of gold or even light grey would be more fitting appropriate for a Dark Knight-style pair.

Regardless, Nike's putting its bat signal in the sky and calling all DC diehards.

Well, kinda: note that this Air Max is not an actual Batman collaboration, just a similar-looking shoe.

In fact, there hasn't really been a high-profile Batman sneaker since the Lanvin shoes from several years back. Go figure.

Still, even only as an implied homage, the "Batman" Air Max 95s only advance the famous sneaker model's stellar 35th anniversary, which has seen several nice recent collaborations from partners as disparate as denim giant Levi's and even the Swoosh's own skateboarding imprint, Nike SB.
