Nike Turned an Air Max Trail Sneaker Into a Croc Skin Flex for the Streets
Nike's Air Max Terrascape 90 sneaker has returned with a new attitude. Now, it's less about that wilderness life and more interested in being a luxe flex for the streets.
The Air Max Terrascape 90 sneaker debuted in the early 2020s, serving as a more trail-worthy version of the classic Air Max 90. It honestly comes from an entire line of outdoorsy Air Maxes, which also included a Terrascape Air Max 97 and an Air Max Plus.
The Terrascape line was quiet for a few years. But now, it's starting to make some noise again. More like a growl, really (you'll get it later).
With the newest Air Max Terrascape 90 sneaker, Nike has toned down the hike-able charm quite a bit and leaned more into the standard AM90 design.
The model is still wild, but in a low-key kind of way. There are no pull tabs or ripstop this go-around. But it still appears to have its rugged soles, this time finished in an icy blue.
At the same time, Nike's Terrascape Air Max also features luxurious white croc skin leather, a premium finish so quiet it could easily be missed from afar. But up close, it proves itself to be a real reptilian treat.
There's also some chrome-level touches throughout. But all in all, the Air Max Terrascape is almost too stylish to dirty up in the wild. Now, a work day at the coffee shop? That's more like it.
It honestly follows the same design as a recent pair of scaly Air Force 1s. But for those interested in the Air Maxes, the Terrascape sneakers are now available on the brand's website for $150.
