As a slim, sporty sneaker from the past, Nike's Air Superfly shoe already checks several trend boxes. And the retro runner just passed the vibe check for another craze.

Nike has given the Air Superfly sneaker its most magnificent makeover yet in a "Soft Yellow/Alabaster" colorway that's essentially a tonal butter-yellow version of the sneaker.

Butter yellow was long ago crowned the color of the season, serving as inspiration for nail designs, fashion, and, of course, pretty sneaker colorways.

Now the Air Superfly sneaker is dressed in the tasty shade, from its sleekly flattened textile upper to the even more streamlined midsole, accented with dashes of black for a nice bit of banana-ish contrast. The fruit-tastic summer-y vibes are only made that much more obvious by the Superfly's snub toebox, capped in black.

The Nike Air Superfly shoe isn't the only Swoosh model hopping on the trend, either.

The brand's Air Max Muse sneaker recently received a similar "Alabaster" colorway, going buttery in the most chunky way.

Nike also released new iterations of Kobe Bryant's Air Force 1 sneakers in "Soft Yellow," resulting in a seriously special pair complete with skate-ish pajama-inspired checkered shoelaces (IYKYK).

So, clearly Nike is bringing the buttery craze (which is really not really a craze, BTW) to the feet with its pretty Air Superfly, only the latest shoe to look this good this bright.

Fans can catch the "Soft Yellow" pairs at retailers like END. and Nordstrom, as well as select international Nike stores, for between $85 and $100.
