Editor’s Notes: Nike is celebrating the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday, Día de Los Muertos, with a family-inspired, three-sneaker release. The collection gives a fresh take on the Air Jordan 1 Mid and three never-before-seen remixes of staples from the Nike Sportswear roster, namely the Nike Air Max 90, Nike Daybreak Type, and Nike Blazer Mid.

The designs are guided by Día de Muertos’s traditional ofrendas, or altars, replicating the colors, patterns, and crafted details of the delicate, handmade artwork and flowers typically seen at an altar. As a tradition that serves as a celebration of heritage, details in the pack connect back to the notion of family. “Para Mi Familia” is embossed on the DBreak Type heel and "Familia" on the toe of the Air Jordan 1. Marigold — the traditional Mexican flower — serves as the connecting thread throughout the vibrant collection.

Nike's three-sneaker "Day of the Dead" pack released in Mexico on October 8 and will drop globally on October 15 in family sizing.
