The Nike First Sight Noir silhouette is one of the newest releases from the Swoosh and boy, does it feel like one. In fact, you would be forgiven for thinking that it was just a preview for a sneaker set to drop some 10 years from now.

As if the all-black colorway that Nike kicked off the release with wasn’t cyborg-coded enough, get ready for the Nike First Sight Noir Electric Green.

While the Nike First Sight Noir bares a resemblance to the slimline silhouette of the Nike Shox Z, it goes several steps further in terms of streamlining and materials, ensuring it’s one of the most forward-looking releases in recent memory.

Fitted with a chunky heel platform, the shoe sits in a mean, ready-to-go position. The heel wedge leads down to the midfoot which floats on empty space before hitting the super-lightweight forefoot.

The tech-driven design feels in line with a specialist running shoe, but this silhouette is aimed purely at the lifestyle market.

We’d argue that beyond that, it’s aimed at the high-fashion market. Its striking lines and structural finish, as well as the colorways, put this pair well within the bounds of the avant-garde styles we see more commonly in the pages of luxury labels.

And while the all-black colorway led the charge, it’s followed up by the Nike First Sight Noir Electric Green which packs a whole lot of punch. The streamlined silhouette and stunning colorway might be tricky to style, but summer is asking you to give it your best shot.
