Do you believe in love at first sight? Nike does. Nike's First Sight sneaker is a techy sneak peek into the future of Nike’s footwear offerings for women. Turns out, the Swoosh is betting big on beautiful, bionic sneakers.

Proof? Peep the First Sight's sculptural design that looks more like a work of cyberpunk art than a wearable running shoe.

Up top, the First Sight sneaker boasts a sooty chiseled upper with a tonal Swoosh that wraps around the toe box and extends to the midfoot. Up top, the First Sight reps a sheen-heavy tongue that adds another layer of textural intrigue.

The First Sight’s design experimentation continues at the back with a hollowed-out cavity just above the heel, which brings a void-like essence to the sneaker.

This experimentation with dimensions extends to the First Sight’s base with a sleek, heightened outsole, which features a sloped wedge made all the more techy by a mid-split design at the back.

It's sharp, chic, and joins a prevalent but less-explored side of the Nike wheelhouse that includes the Nike Future GT and gems from the ISPA line-up as members. But the First Sight's closest relative is definitely the Nike Ava Rover, which sports a similarly fashion-y wedged-outsole.

In all honesty, though, the First Sight has no real peers in terms of ingenuity. It's chic yet rugged in a way we haven't really seen from Nike's women's division, at least not to this degree.

Dropping on the Nike website in 2026 for $125, the First Sight signifies a shift toward sleeker, more style-focused pastures for the Swoosh in the new year. Now that's love.
