Double Tap to Zoom

Nike's Zoom Vomero has reigned as the Swoosh's star dad shoe for the last couple of years. NBA icon LeBron James even dubbed Nike's runner as a "staple" in his household (by the way, pretty much the entire James fam has been spotted publicly in Vomeros).

But it may be time for the Vomero to share the spotlight with another rising Nike dad shoe, particularly Nike's P-6000 sneaker.

The Nike P-6000 sneaker launched in 2019 as an early 2000s-style running shoe based on the 2006 Air Pegasus.

Since its debut, the Nike model has garnered a cult following as an underrated rotation necessity, praised for its incredible comfort and nostalgic chunky design.

Regarding its construction which inspired Off-White™'s craziest Dunk collab, Nike's P-6000 sneaker takes us back to the aughts. The shoe boasts creamy leather overlays and ventilated mesh foundations, often sprinkled with Y2K metallics to evoke the era's charm further.

Underfoot, Nike's P-6000 presents a classic beefed-up sole layered with comfy foam and sturdy rubber for a cushy, albeit durable step.

For the cherry on top, Nike often finishes its P-6000 with some attractive, on-trend colorways, like a shiny silver spin for the 00s diehards or perhaps something more quieter like a clean all-black iteration for the secret flexers. Or even a Stüssy-level hemp option.

Recently, unreleased P-6000s landed online in delicious burgundy and sky-blue schemes, confirming that the P-6000 run is only bound to get better.

Who knows? We might see LeBron's house become the P-6000 squad next.
