Nike unveiled its extensive 2020 Tokyo Olympics collections during a high profile presentation in New York City last night. Alongside performance wear and medal stand apparel and footwear, Nike also announced collaborations with some of its top tier ambassadors, including Yoon Anh, Virgil Abloh, and Matthew Williams.

Many of Nike’s most popular collaborators were in attendance in NYC, which resulted in the following squad photo being taken:

Interestingly, Drake features prominently in the photo, which seems to suggest the former Nike collaborator is once again part of #TeamSwoosh. Drake was famously signed with Nike and released several OVO-branded Air Jordan collaborations before rumors started to heat up that he would be joining adidas.

Drake’s beef with Pusha-T apparently ended that parternship before it could be officially announced. Since then, Champagne Papi has been seen wearing predominantly Nike apparel and footwear again, however, no official partnership or collaboration with the Swoosh have been released in quite some time.

Abloh also posted a picture with Drake, both of them wearing camouflage jackets. See below.

Another interesting inclusion in the photo is designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, who previously worked with Nike in 2018, when he shot the lookbook for the French national team’s new jerseys. His inclusion could point towards further collaborations between Jacquemus and Nike in the future.

In another turn of events, Matthew Williams and Virgil Abloh had dinner with Kanye West, though the adidas collaborator was only in New York City for Kim Kardashian West’s SKIMS Nordstrom launch.

Stay tuned to updates on whether Drake really is part of the official Nike squad again.
