There’s one surefire way to make a pair of Nike Air Max Plus sneakers more flashy: cover them in crystals. And together with Swarovski, Nike has done just that.

Dubbed the Nike Air Max Plus Moonlight, this sneaker comes in a black base with silver Swarovski crystals glistening on its upper. The various-sized stones replicate the wavy overlays of the Air Max Plus (also affectionately known as Nike TNs) and make-up Nike’s inimitable swoosh on the shoe's lateral side.

Naturally, Air Max sneakers don’t come flashier than those covered in crystals. And naturally, those crystals are going to cost you a pretty penny.

This Swarovski collaboration, available exclusively from Footlocker starting December 5, will set you back $450. But the crystal-covered goodness doesn’t end there.

As confirmed in the Nike SNKRS Showcase in June this year, the Swarovski x Air Max collaboration is a two-part drop.

Referencing the original Sunset colorway of the Air Max Plus, a second colorway featuring colorful orange and red crystals lined up to replicate a sunset will arrive this holiday season. However, the exact release information has yet to be made available.

Nike’s partnership with Swarovski, the almost 130-year-old Austrian crystal and jewelry company, started with a pair of Air Maxes, a two-piece drop of shiny 97s, and has developed to include limited-edition takes on models such as the Vapormax and Air Force 1.

This is the first time that the two have come together on the Air Max Plus: a model whose profile has increased this year thanks to several exclusive colorways and experimental hybrid designs that have made headlines.

But now, through a collaboration with Swarovski, it really is the sneaker model's time to shine.
