Editor's Notes: It's official – the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 comeback is underway, and honestly, we should all be pleased about it. I'd be lying if I said the last time I saw a pair of these sneakers wasn't at a Nike outlet in Stuttgart, Germany, in 2019.

I know there's a perception of Nike sneakers that make it to outlets – that they're not worthy of attention or particular praise, but that's simply not true. Now and again, low-key bangers slip through the mainstream, and if you're lucky enough, you'll catch them in good time to secure a bargain.

On reflection, I'm mad I didn't grab a pair of those general release pairs, even though I was reppin' the black A-COLD-WALL collaboration pair at the time.

Fortunately enough, the Swoosh is seeing to it that general release pairs of this underrated runner make their way back to market. Whereas the last pairs to release combined monochrome bases with pops of color, upcoming drops look elevated with beautifully tonal palettes.

First rising to the surface with an arrangement dubbed "Oatmeal," a second colorway of the Zoom Vomero 5 has paced forward. Samuel Ross' A-COLD-WALL "Solarized" creation aside, I'd go as far as to argue that this upcoming "Cobblestone" render is the best version of the silhouette so far.

As the name would suggest, the sneaker takes on a mineral aesthetic, made up of several grey tones, with the lighter gues almost having a slight green tinge to match branding at the tongue, heel, and outsole.
