Nike's Biscuit-Flavored Skate Shoes Are Dunkably Delicious
Wait until mid-afternoon in Manchester and you’ll feel something change in the air. It’s the effect of the entirety of the North of England collectively turning on their kettles to make a cup of tea.
Biscuits are an essential with said cup of tea. This is a ritual: A brew & a biscuit. Now, Manchester skate shop NOTE has immortalized the ritual in the NOTE x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Brew & Biscuits’.
We love a collaboration of any sort, but when there’s storytelling behind it, it just hits different. This is one such case and we’re here for it.
Manchester’s favorite skate shop NOTE has been around since 1999. It’s a famed fixture of the city’s Northern Quarter, and it deserves its flowers. Luckily, Nike’s here to give them.
Dressed in brown suede (the ideal color of a cup of tea), the shoe is actually surprisingly versatile. Beyond the neutral uppers, though, lie a plethora of fun details that set this design apart.
The laces feature a biscuit graphic print but can be swapped out for plain versions. The same goes for the ultimate detail here: the Swoosh. Velcro options range from biscuit textures to waffle-print.
The NOTE x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Brew & Biscuits’ is not only homage to one of the UK’s best skate shops, but to its hometown as a whole. It’s fun and actually tells a story: this is how collaborations should be done.
