When Brain Dead embarked on an exploration of Oakley's extensive archive last year, it uncovered a plethora of archival footwear silhouettes worthy of renewed time in the spotlight. Working closely together under the umbrella of Oakley Factory Team, the pair saw to the resurrection of the Chop Saw and Flesh, both of which have been just as well received as they were during their golden era.

As the pair continue to work with the intensity of scientists seeking the answers of the universe, birthing products like their recent trailblazing eyewear collection, they've allotted themselves the freedom to create without boundaries. Now, that presents itself in a new iteration of the Chop Saw.

Taking everything the fans love about the silhouette and putting it through the mill, it's come out the other end chopped up. Instead of taking on the appearance of some Frankenstien-like creation that bares no beauty, it's followed the path walked by many other brands in the footwear space, refreshed as a Mule.

With summer mere weeks away, a new verticality of the silhouette is certainly welcome, and what better way to usher in the warm season than with a Mule?

Doing away with traditional lacing construction, the sneaker takes on a slip-on construction that maintains the focus on its sharp-edged sole, with a tri-color palette of earth tones highlighting all of the best parts of the silhouette.

For those seeking an even easier-wearing finish, a triple black palette is also available.

While the black pair is already sitting on sites like Wood Wood, wider release details concerning both pairs remain a mystery. Eyes up!
