Philipp Plein is facing controversy once again. This time, the German designer is being called out for copying Dior and Shawn Stüssy's Fall/Winter 2020 logo motif.

Diet Prada pointed out the similarities in an Instagram post yesterday. Just a few hours earlier, Plein had unveiled his brand's new motif, which looks almost identical to Stüssy and Dior's. Like the luxury collab, Plein’s design uses warped text and illustrations of his brand name in black on a white background. The only real difference is that his motif uses skulls instead of flowers.

Shawn Stüssy x Dior's recognizable design was presented last month with the unveiling of their joint pre-fall collection and has featured extensively in the French luxury fashion house’s latest campaigns, editorials, and lookbooks. Plein has not yet responded to the backlash, but perhaps his silence speaks volumes.
