Authorities have hit a roadblock in the investigation into Pop Smoke's murder. According to TMZ, police are making little progress in solving the crime, specifically with regard to witness testimony.

Law enforcement sources report that detectives are struggling to find credible witnesses. As nobody was outside or near the house when the crime occurred, the police have no neutral witnesses to rely on. Conversely, many of the witnesses cops have spoken to have either changed their stories or have proven to be unreliable. While many people involved are entirely refusing to talk.

Reportedly, authorities are also fielding through false leads. Following Pop Smoke's death, investigators wasted time looking into videos posted online allegedly connected to the murder, which turned out to be dead ends. Furthermore, video evidence examined by authorities that was said to have been taken from the home's security cameras, was found to be footage captured from an unrelated crime.

So far, police are certain the rapper's murder was a targeted hit and not a robbery, however, they are still unable to come up with a motive. For now, the LAPD claims there is a host of conflicting evidence that hinders them from being certain what happened to Pop Smoke.
