Double Tap to Zoom

Rihanna was seen taking in Juventus' Champions League clash against Atlético Madrid in Turin last night, but for grail hunters, the singer's "bag" would have been of more interest than the action on the pitch.

Sitting in the VIP suite at the Allianz Stadium, Riri cheered on Ronaldo, Dybala, and co. while clutching a Louis Vuitton monogram football accessory. The limited-edition piece was released in celebration of France's hosting of the World Cup in 1998 — the same year Marc Jacobs assumed control at the luxury house — and was seemingly inspired by a hiking tote that Louis Vuitton asked the legendary Romeo Gigli to design for the monogram's centenary in 1996. That same project also birthed Helmut Lang's famous monogram record case.

On closer inspection, the leather case is inscribed with text reading, "LOUIS VUITTON, PARIS, MADE IN FRANCE" and "FRANCE 98."

Rihanna isn't the first celebrity to step out flexing Louis Vuitton gold in recent times. A few months ago, Travis Scott showed off his rare LV Damier Ebene handheld computer on Instagram, before being snapped holding a Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton carry all. Last year, Louis Vuitton designed a laser-engraved case to transport the World Cup trophy at the 2018 final in Moscow.
