Soulja Boy has been sentenced to 240 days in jail and 265 days of community service for parole violation, TMZ reports. The verdict was reached in court this Tuesday and will start immediately.

Soulja has been serving time in a Los Angeles jail since his arrest on April 11, which occurred after police reportedly found ammunition in his home back in February. The rapper is also accused of failing to do his court-ordered community service and attempting to trick authorities into believing otherwise.

The judge has decided to be lenient, however. Soulja will not be sentenced to the originally proposed two-year state prison time, and will also be given credit for 40 days served.

The rapper's parole violation dates back to 2014 when he was previously convicted for carrying a loaded firearm. Per Pitchfork's coverage, he violated his then 24-month probation term in December 2016. In March 2017 he was convicted of a felony stemming from that arrest and slapped with five years of probation.
