IN EARLY JULY, STONE ISLAND OPENED ITS FLAGSHIP STORE IN MUNICH, AND TO HONOR THE COMMUNITY-DRIVEN SCOPE OF THE IMPRESSIVE NEW SPACE, THE BRAND IS SPOTLIGHTING SOME TALENTED LOCALS.

Designed by AMO studio, the store is an innovation station, with the architecture and state-of-the-art design a true testament to the brand’s obsession with functionality and materiality. You’ll be convinced you’re in a spy movie with all the clever features, including a thermo-sensitive ice jacket kept in a refrigerator and secret VIP changing rooms. In recognition of its hardcore German fan base, the brand wants to provide an elevated in-store experience for its customers, transforming a standard shopping trip into an interactive exploration of high-tech design and community-focused initiatives.

Growing from a local success story into an international sensation, the Italian brand’s logo has become a highly sought-after symbol. Worn by Dave, Drake, Pete Dunham in Green Street, Sully, and Dushane in Top Boy, the brand got credit fast — and fans instantly felt part of the club by repping the iconic yellow and green compass...
In celebration of the recent opening, the brand calls attention to Munich’s burgeoning creative scene, featuring local personalities and trailblazers. Stone Island’s Munich Kollektiv comprises artists, designers, and entrepreneurs who have done some pretty inspiring work in their careers, pushing boundaries and gaining respect within their fields. A curated event is coming soon to mark the collaboration, foreseeing a night of culture and dancing —of course, Stoney’s signature industrial aesthetic will pervade the event head-to-toe, ceiling-to-floor.
