UK grime artist Stormzy, model Jourdan Dunn, and Olympic boxer Joshua Buatsi are among the myriad of young black British stars celebrated in the February issue of Elle UK.

“[I want] people to see this and realize if you are young, black, and British, you can 100 percent excel in whatever lane you want," Stormzy says in the accompanying cover story, hoping that people will see the group he has assembled for the issue as “powerful and incredible young Brits coming together like superheroes… like Avengers.”

Like Marvel's champions, Stormzy's Avengers come from all professions, from sporting champions to literature and activism. Dunn and Buatsi aside, the group comprises sprinter Dina Asher-Smith, London-raised Ivorian footballer Wilfried Zaha, model and campaigner Leomie Anderson, activist Temi Mwale, actor Damson Idris, musician Tiana Major9, and writer-model-actor Yrsa Daley-Ward.
