Supreme's latest collaboration with Leica has resulted in a new pair of Ultravid 8×20 binoculars, decked out in a trademark red and white colorway, as part of the streetwear label's FW20 drop.

The hype version of Leica's classic binoculars is packed with the German manufacturer's impressive tech specs including an eight-fold magnification for maximum detail recognition. It also features a close-focusing of 1.8 meters, waterproof AquaDura coating, and rubberized "armor" on the shell.

The Leica and wider binocular community at large haven't taken too kindly to the collaboration, with one commenter writing that it was "absolutely and utterly repulsive." Another wrote, "Totally downgraded... can perhaps also collaborate with Pantone create a colour called ‘WTF LEICA RED,'" and another, "Lost a bit of respect there."

Others, meanwhile, defending the collaboration as a bridging of two iconic companies.

If you picked up bird-watching or other such activities over the summer, you can try and cop the Supreme x Leica binoculars when they drop later this fall on Supreme's webstore, where you can expect a retail price in the ballpark of $800.
