Timberland is taking Sculpstore to prep school. The boot-maker and Seoul-based store just released a fuzzy boat shoe that sits at the intersection of Wednesday Adams core and frat boy chic. 

With a lug sole and comfort-focused cushioning, the loafers are built in classic boat shoe fashion — mainly. The only difference? Sculpstore’s version is constructed in a hairy, black material that gives it ominous, goth-like oomph.

Timberland has long offered boat shoes, a style invented in the ‘30s that has since become synonymous with preppy fashion. Recently, brands like Miu Miu have put their own twist on the classic style, fueling its unexpected entry into the world of luxury fashion. 

The trend certainly isn’t lost on Timberland. Earlier this year, the brand partnered with BEAMS on hybrid boating-hiking boot. 

In general, loafers have been a pretty hot commodity as of late. Everyone from ROA to New Balance is getting in on that office-ready action, and we all know that “corporatecore” is king right now.

Plus, versatility is the lifeblood of wearable fashion. It doesn't get more functional than a loafer built with the same structural integrity as a pair of Timbs.
