McDonald's has created its smallest restaurant ever, but you're not invited. Rather, the minuscule building, which features drive-thru windows, outdoor dining areas, and tiny Golden Arches on the roof, is actually a fully functioning beehive.

The mini-McDonald's, or the McHive as it's known, is part of a new initiative by the fast-food chain to preserve bees. It's located in Sweden, where some McDonald's restaurants already have hives on their roofs as part of the initiative.

The project has been overseen by creative agency NORDDDB, which explained, "More franchisees around the country are joining the cause and have also started replacing the grass around their restaurants with flowers and plants that are important for the wellbeing of wild bees."
