Tyler, the Creator's sixth album, IGOR was marked by sincerity and vulnerability. Where in previous studio albums he had lowered his voice to produce a menacing quality, with IGOR Tyler took the pitch right up to give voice to the complexities of modern heart-break and age-old demons.

This proved to be a hugely effective sonic strategy. Nevertheless, one Reddit user adjusted the pitch on the album and the result will give IGOR fans pause. Take a listen to how tracks like “EARFQUAKE” and particularly the line “Don't leave/ It's my fault” hit at the lower pitch. 

Given Tyler's well-established perfectionism, he might not be too pleased with the pitch alternations but it's well worth a listen.
