UNDERCOVER unveiled its Spring Summer 2022 look book today, giving us our first look at the Japanese brand's latest Nike sneaker collaboration.

As part of the collection, UNDERCOVER has fused the Nike Air Force 1 with the Air Revaderchi, an ACG sneaker that was brought back to much fanfare in 2018.

The Air Revaderchi debuted in 1992, its name a play on the Italian word arrivederci (“goodbye”). The sneaker was ACG’s Jack of all trades, designed with a number of outdoor activities in mind, specifically trail-running, mountain-biking, and — in Nike’s words — “all-around adventuring.” The OG kick was famously worn by style masters such as Grand Puba, which helped it transition from the trail to the streets.

UNDERCOVER’s version sees the classic Air Force 1 upper stay largely the same, save for the Air Revaderchi’s neoprene bootie and TPU heel counter and strap.

Nike has a knack for appropriating ACG silhouettes or colorways on some of its other performance and lifestyle gear. The Air Force 1 has also been released in ACG-inspired colorways in the past, though this style fusion is new.

Take a look above and stay tuned for more information ahead of the sneaker’s release during SS22.
