It’s official, Union LA and Nike’s Jordan 1 Retro collaboration is back. A follow-up to the two brands’ coveted 2018 collaboration, known to fetch big numbers on the resale market, is arriving.

In time for Nike Jordan’s 40th anniversary, Union LA confirmed the return of its Jordan 1 collaboration by launching a website where fans can sign up for the upcoming launch.

A black and white image of the Union LA Jordan 1 Retro covers the middle of the website, confirming the release while giving little away about the upcoming colorway.

However, images circulating online look destined to ruin the big surprise of what this Jordan 1 actually looks like.

Rumors about this release have been swirling around for years now, spurred on by unconfirmed leaked designs. And word has it that this upcoming sneaker combines the Jordan 1’s “Chicago” and “Shadow” colorways.

As with the previous 2018 versions, the two colorways are Frankensteined together: On the collar, gray and black “Shadow” paneling emerges, combined with the red and white “Chicago” colorway through a powder blue thread.

Other small touches brought to the shoe include an aged-looking midsole, a paper-like tongue tag, and a yellow tag with Union LA branding.

But until we get official confirmation from the Los Angeles-based retailer, this is all hearsay.

The last time release rumors flared up in 2023, Nike and Union surprised fans by dropping a woven Jordan 1 instead of a simple colorway switch-up.

All eyes are on the two brands to unleash their latest creation and add a new chapter to one of the most hyped Jordan 1 collaborations.
