Usher, Lil Jon & Ludacris Just Dropped a Song & It Feels Like We're in 2004 Again
Sixteen years after Usher, Lil Jon, and Ludacris dropped their iconic track "Yeah," the trio has blessed us with another collaborative single titled "SexBeat." And fans are wondering, is it 2020 or 2004?
Lil Jon teased the track last week in an Instagram live battle with T-Pain. Apparently the rapper has been sitting on the song for two years, but Usher never let him drop it. “You don’t know how hard it was to get Usher to be like, ‘alright you can play this shit,'” he admitted. The song, written by Jermaine Dupri, took many by surprise and fans immediately began asking for it to be released.
It seems the positive responses made Usher finally change his tune. "After that response last night to my new record after the battle between Lil Jon and T-Pain... I’m thinkin bout dropin this week," he wrote on Twitter on Monday.
Jermaine Dupri also chimed in on Thursday, letting fans know that the single was finally dropping on Friday.
