Vans might have another hit on its hands with the Harbor Mule VR3.

What's a Harbor Mule? It's essentially a cozy slip-on model by the skateboarding brand, crafted with luxe suede exteriors, fluffy interiors, and Vans' all-time comfiest midsole technology.

To be honest, it sort of resembles Birkenstock's world-famous Boston clog, if it got a dose (or three) of "Off The Wall" energy.

The Vans Harbor Mule quietly launched overseas in 2025, debuting in a slew of colorways including cookie-butter-level options and, of course, the iconic checkerboard design.

It's now gearing up for an even bigger launch in 2026, with the cozy clogs expected to hit US stores soon.

For now, the Harbor Mules are available at Vans Philippines' store in black and beige colorways, which are now internet-famous, by the way. They recently went viral on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

The Chanel-coded "Souvenir" Old Skool skate shoes were undoubtedly the Vans shoe of 2025. It's still very early in 2026 to declare a shoe of the year. But don't be surprised if it turns out to be the year of the Vans "Birks."
