After 70 years, Volkswagen officially ended production of its iconic VW Beetle in July of 2019. To commemorate the legendary model, the German car manufacturer has now released a short animated film celebrating the Beetle's history.

Titled "The Last Mile," Volkswagen's short movie follows a young man and his life milestones, including owning a Beetle, starting a family, and sending his kids to college. Towards the end of the movie, the elderly man watches the beloved car as it flies away and turns into a beetle.

The clip features cameos from famous personalities ranging from Ren McCormack and Kevin Bacon to Andy Warhol and Andy Cohen and is soundtracked by a cover of The Beatles' "Let It Be" performed by a youth choir. Watch the clip above.
