Ahead of the release of Bad Boys For Life this Friday, Will Smith, and Martin Lawrence went Sneaker Shopping with Complex's Joe La Puma at Stadium Goods in NYC, kicking off the show's tenth season.

The two comedy veterans reminisced about setting trends on their respective sitcoms and films, and about the role footwear played in elevating their career. “It was part of the performance” recalled Smith to which Lawrence added, “Footwear is everything.” Smith also talked about wanting fans to see sneakers on Fresh Prince before they were out.

Lawrence also touched on one of sneaker culture's most iconic movie scenes — a chance encounter over Air Jordans that turns into a heated argument about gentrification in Do The Right Thing.
