Yuto Horigome’s Nike Air Force 1 Skate Shoe Shouldn’t Be This Clean. But It Is
And for Yuto Horigome's next trick, he'll design a skate-able Air Force 1.
Last year, sneaker leakers revealed that Horigome's next sneaker would be a Nike SB Air Force 1 Low. Fast forward to 2026, first looks at the clean skate-ready collaboration have arrived.
They're unreleased samples, actually. However, if they're anything like the actual shoes that hit shelves, the Olympic skater's effort is even cleaner than early mockups predicted.
The collaborative Air Force 1 Low skate shoe comes in this grey and white colorway, sort of reminiscent of Horigome's previous grey Dunks.
It also features creamy leather and crisp woven paneling, which, altogether, brings back memories of the original Air Force 1 sneaker design from 1982. The OG sneaker featured a similar construction.
It's this marriage of nostalgia, understated colors, and skate energy that makes Horigome's Air Force 1 another nice addition to his already solid Nike SB collection.
And, of course, Horigome's Air Force 1s are stamped with his signature feather logo, as seen on his other Nike sneakers (including his matcha-flavored Dunks).
The Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Air Force 1 skate shoe is expected to release this fall on Nike's website. And it won't be alone, actually.
Nike's skateboarding imprint is said to be releasing more Air Force 1 sneakers before the year is out, sans Horigome. These particular Air Force 1 drops are anticipated to be more in line with Nike SB's other skate-ified sneakers, like the Air Jordan 4 and Air Max 95 collabs.
Here's to another year of more skate-able Swoosh classics.
