The latest version, in particular, is even more ballet-coded than previous efforts. adidas leans into a classic ballet shoe construction here, giving the Samba Jane silky uppers and satin linings. It even achieves a similar suppleness to that of traditional ballet shoes.

Elsewhere, the Samba Jane offers its usual fixings, like the leather and suede details, the classic Mary Jane strap, and the Samba's unmistakable features.

The Samba Jane has appeared in many color options from wine-flavored schemes to pairs dipped in gold. And they've all been quite ballet-worthy. But the "Crystal Sky" versions are easily the most on point of them all.
