Double Tap to Zoom

Apple is gearing up to take its photography game to the next level with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. According to new reports, the model will feature two superior camera enhancements.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac) states the 6.7-inch model will include new sensor-shift image stabilization technology and a new camera model for the wide-angle lens (dubbed 7P).

The size of the sensor is also a huge factor, as it will reportedly better the image quality as a large sensor equals less image noise — meaning users will be able to take higher-quality images and videos, even low light.

The stabilization update supports five-axis correction — Pitch (vertical rotation), Yaw (horizontal rotation), Vertical translation (up or down shift without rotation), Horizontal translation (left or right shift without rotation), and Roll (one side dips).

Kuo asserts that this will potentially improve cameras on future Apple models, too.

There is no release date yet for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
