Chinese New Year begins on January 25, with 2020 marking the Year of the Rat. To celebrate the approaching new zodiac, brands across the globe have dropped special capsule collections, incorporating traditional Chinese patterns and colors across clothing, accessories, and footwear. A host of luxury brands, from Gucci to Prada, are taking part in the celebrations.

Gucci perhaps took the Year of Rat a little more literally than most, teaming up with Disney and a certain Micky Mouse to release a co-branded collection. Gucci’s iconic GG pattern is given the Disney stamp, with the world’s most famous rodent replacing the monogram logo and appearing across sweaters, shell jackets, tees, and more.

Celine, Prada, and Fendi base their Chinese New Year collections around red, a color symbolizing luck and happiness in Chinese culture. While Prada gives a more subtle nod to the shade, via metal emblems on its garments, Fendi goes all-out claret, referencing the new zodiac on items like this standout wallet. Louis Vuitton also releases its Lunar Collection in time for the new year, with key products including the denim multi pochette bag — complete with red jacquard strap.
