Double Tap to Zoom

Kurfürstendamm: where Berlin’s fashion mavens and posh contingency bump shoulders along the city’s legendary luxury shopping strip. Whether you’re in the area to pick up a €10,000 handbag or a €6 döner kebab, you’re sure to have a quintessential West Berlin experience. So when dozens of families descended upon kids brand CYBEX’s Kurfürstendamm flagship store to celebrate the launch of their first apparel collection, they fit right into the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood—with style, of course.

The collection takes inspiration from global streetwear to give both kids and parents the space to express themselves through fashion. Gone are the cookie-cutter aesthetics that dictate children’s clothing; here, through oversized silhouettes, premium fabrics, and neutral tones, kids can build their own personal style, completely in step with the grown-ups.

As for the event itself, imagine the coolest afterschool program ever and you’re halfway there. CYBEX transformed the outside of the store into a mini block party, where kids could play, draw on the sidewalk, and play games while their parents kept a close eye while perusing CYBEX’s high end products. DJ Mom and Anna Liset provided family-friendly tunes while drinks and snacks were shared by all.

It was a takeover the likes of which Kurfürstendamm had surely never seen before—but for the next generation of Berlin’s fashion conscious kids, the party has just begun.
