Double Tap to Zoom

We don't have to reiterate the kind of year 2020 has been. Some have no doubt had it worse than others, including Megan Thee Stallion who was the victim of a gunshot wound just months ago. Still, she's looking to end the year on a high note with the release of her debut album, Good News.

Megan announced her much-anticipated debut LP today saying, "Through this rough ass year we’ve all been having I felt like we could all use a lil bit of good news." According to an official press release, the title of the album coincides with the artist's ethos that no matter how difficult times may be, we all have the ability to make and become our own good news. At the core, the project is meant to inspire listeners to bring back the fun into everyday life.

News of the debut album comes as Meg recently secured her second global number one song of the year with Cardi B collaboration, "WAP." Certified platinum after releasing in August, the song achieved the highest streaming debut week for any track since records began. The Houston hip-hop artist was also recently recognized by TIME as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, further affirming her cultural impact.

Megan Thee Stallion is scheduled to release her debut album, Good News, on November 20. Two days later on November 22, she will debut a brand new track during a performance at the 2020 American Music Awards.
