Following rumors that Jordan Brand would be bringing back the highly-coveted, Japan-exclusive Air Jordan 1 "Midnight Navy" at some point this year, the sneaker is now rumored to be released on November 14.

The colorway was originally released in 2001, and its release was an especially notable moment in the brand’s folklore, as it marked the first time an Air Jordan 1 appeared in a non-OG colorway. Check out the original release below and this year’s version above.

Rumors of the retro first emerged late last year, with new reports adding some weight to the possibility that we’ll see a 2020 version of the OG release.  The retro is expected to look similar to the original 2001 drop, with some minor adjustments to the branding, materials, packaging, and stock numbers.

Reportedly, this new Air Jordan 1 will look a lot like the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 low "Midnight Navy," which debuted last June.

The release was likely slated for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (which have been postponed to 2021), though it will now likely be released before the Olympics take place next year.
