Boot season, eh? Nike's Air Max 95 wants all parts.

The sportswear brand has cooked up a new version of its classic chunky Air Max sneaker that basically goes hiking-boot mode.

It's not necessarily an Air Max boot (we already have those). But these newest Air Max 95 sneakers feature boot-inspired details, which push it closer to the territory of Timberland and Diemme's stompers.

Specifically, Nike has given the Air Max sneaker gleaming D-ring eyelets and braided shoelaces, details commonly seen on more traditional hardy outdoor boots.

The latest also features a smooth reworked upper that maintains the OG layered design of the Air Max 95 but on a tougher scale.

Speaking of signature touches, the Air Max 95 preserves a lot of its classic features, down to the Big Bubble soles underfoot.

Indeed, it's still largely the model loved by sneakerheads for the past 30 years. It's just a ruggedized trail-worthy treat now.

The Air Max 95 "hiking" sneaker is expected to drop on Nike's website this February.
