It's quite literally the golden era of the Nike Air Max 95. The model is fresh off a milestone anniversary, marked by iconic rereleases and brand-new drops. A year later, the Air Max sneaker is still good as gold. Literally.

The celebrations only continued into the new year as Nike dropped more bangers, like the Air Max 95 Total 90 "Metallic Gold."

It really needs no further explanation. But if you insist, it's literally a Big Bubble Air Max 95 with Total 90-inspired details. Specifically, Nike has decked out the shoe with T90-style branding moments. It has also updated the uppers to feature glossier leather, much like the classic soccer cleats famously worn by Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho.

The second best part? Nike has dipped the chunky sneaker in gold, turning it into a shiny trophy for the feet.

And there's more where that came from. Nike actually designed an entire collection of T90-inspired Air Max 95s, including several other colorways like metallic silver and burgundy. A few of them have already released, but the gold Air Max 95s are anticipated to release sometime this summer on Nike's website. Expect them to retail for $200 like the others.

Hopefully, they'll arrive before the FIFA World Cup kicks off in June. But no stress, if not. Nike has plenty of other nice, soccer-worthy Air Maxes for the big games.
