Back in December 2024, we were treated to Nike’s Air Max Muse silhouette. Part chunky performance shoe, part brutalist design statement, the Nike Muse was understandably originally released in a Black/Metallic Silver colorway which highlighted the design’s industrial styling.

But the Swoosh loves to surprise, and has done just that with the Nike Air Max Muse “Sunrise”.

Decked in the rich golden and pink hues of a picture-perfect sunrise, this Muse is brimming with summertime appeal and is slated for a release in June of this year.

While the main color sets the tone in orange, the upper’s mesh accents are dressed in a gradient design which blends from toe to ankle from white to deep pink.

Tension lies at the heart of most great design, and that’s no different here. While the colorway speaks of warm summer days spent outside, the structure of the Nike Air Max Muse stands in stark contrast.

With an angular two-part sole unit heavily weighted to the heel, the design has an alien element to it. It’s both highly futuristic and also reminiscent of retro chunky dad sneakers—confusing and familiar at once.

In a sneaker market where new silhouettes often fall by the wayside in favor of established fan-favorites, the Nike Air Max Muse has already made quite a splash, and with colorways as strong as this coming through, 2026 looks promising.
