Nike not only makes excellent sneakers, but it also designs great water shoes. It's a shame the best ones are usually for kids.

Nike's Sunray Protect 4 is a great example of a quality summer NIke stepper. It's a lightweight strap-in shoe complete with air holes and cushioned foam soles specially crafted for a barefoot feel.

What's more, the entire Nike sandal has been officially approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association, recognized for its support of foot health. This thing is as good inside as it looks outside.

Aside from the tech, the Sunray Protect 4 also looks very cool. It's almost like a Crocs clog with extra coverage and Nike Swooshes (but it's not a Crocs collab, to be clear).

The shoe also has a similar energy to Nike's ReactX Rejuven8 clogs a.k.a the "Nike Crocs" and the Aqua Swoosh slip-ons.

All that's to say that, like the underrated Aqua Swoosh sandals, Nike's Sunray Protect 4 is another water shoe banger that's almost accidentally excellent.

Unfortunately, and also like the Aqua Swoosh, the Sunray Protect 4 sneaker is exclusively available in kids' sizing. It's sad but true.

Nike's Sunray Protect 4 shoe is currently up for grabs in only toddler and little kids' sizing on Nike's website alongside other splash-ready sandals from the well-designed Sunray Protect line.

Nike's breathable "barefoot" sandals are available in a few colorways, including black, royal blue, and pink. There's also a fun multicolor option, which really brings out the shoe's impressive details and understated tech.

The second best part? These water-ready steppers don't break the bank, assuming you can fit into them. Nike's Sunway Protect 4 shoe retails for between $38 and $40 on Nike's website, depending on the size you need for your little Nike sneakerhead in training.

If the Swoosh one day upsizes it, expect the price to rise in tandem.
