PROSPECT 100, the global design competition platform founded by Alexandre Daillance, Adam Flanagan, and Harry Beard, is partnering with Ukraine to use NFTs as a fundraising tool to fight oppression.

Working with Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation, PROSPECT 100 has launched a design competition calling for digital artworks inspired by a selection of Ukraine-related news (announcements from Volodymyr Zelensky, footage of anti-war demonstrations in New York City, and more, all curated by the Ministry).

Submissions will be judged by a formidable panel of creatives including Daniel Arsham, Dover Street Market and COMME des GARÇONS President Adrian Joffe, Fragment's Hiroshi Fujiwara, and meme legend FuckJerry.

100 winning works will then be sold as NFTs by the Ministry, and all proceeds will benefit Ukraine's Armed Forces.

PROSPECT 100 was inspired to launch the competition after Flanagan came across a tweet from Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announcing that the country would sell NFTs to help fund defense efforts against Russia.

"We immediately realized that, given our network of designers on a global scale, we might be able to help generate really high quality artworks in a rapid time frame for the government to assist their cause," Daillance explained.

After e-mailing the Ministry, Flanagan, Daillance, and Beard were quickly taken up on their offer to help.

"This entire competition was put together in under 24 hours," Beard said. "Everyone who has helped out has made this possible thus far particularly from the individuals on Ukraine's side, as well as the judges who accepted to support on such short notice."

Submissions are open on PROSPECT 100's website through March 26.
